WOMEN HAIR PRP FOR HAIR LOSS AND THINNING

NONSURGICAL RESTORATION & PREVENTION

80% of patients experience noticeable improvements

At The PRP Center, we use Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy to combat hair thinning and loss. PRP is a non-surgical, natural treatment that uses your body's own platelets to stimulate hair growth. It's a safe and effective way to regrow hair without the need for surgery.

*Based on 3-4 treatments, spaced 1 month apart. Individual results vary.

FEMALE HAIR LOSS/THINNING

There are a lot of supplements and serums/topicals on the market right now promising thicker hair. If you aren't experiencing the results you were hoping for on these products alone, PRP has been shown in studies to be much more effective than over-the-counter solutions. Studies reveal it also helps to slow hair loss by decreasing shedding and is therefore an ideal prevention strategy.

PRP is suitable for most types of alopecia, but best for androgenic alopecia, and less effective for scarring and autoimmune alopecia. While PRP can only give a subtle change to hair loss, and is not suitable for those with complete baldness, it is a great way to boost thickness and help fill in specific areas of thinning.

FAST AND CONVENIENT

Our streamlined appointment takes 20 minutes from start to finish. This means that there is minimal waiting in the office. We simply draw your blood, and spin it in our centrifuge (we use a single spin at a lower speed to concentrate the PRP), and then inject the PRP immediately. We do not add any chemicals into your blood. It is completely natural.

NO DOWNTIME

Unlike surgical hair restoration, PRP therapy requires no downtime. You can return to your regular activities soon after treatment. The process is near pain free, and does not require any medications or sedatives.

WHAT CAUSES HAIR LOSS ?

Not all hair loss is the same. Common causes of significant hair loss include:

Androgenic Alopecia (Pattern Baldness) –  With female pattern baldness, thinning occurs on the top and crown of the head.

Illness or Stress – Stress, diabetes, low thyroid activity, nutritional deficiency, cancer, or even Covid-19 or the flu can cause temporary hair loss.

Trauma and Scarring– Scar tissue caused by physical injury, burns, or cosmetic surgery can interfere with hair growth, damaging the hair follicles and potentially causing permanent hair loss.

Alopecia Areata – An autoimmune disease in which the body attacks its own hair follicles, resulting in sudden hair loss on the scalp, face, and body.

Ready to schedule your next step toward thicker hair?

There are extensive studies exploring the effects of PRP on hair loss. It has been proven to be a safe, effective way to promote hair growth. A research review of 12 clinical trials exploring the effects of PRP on hair loss found that PRP therapy yielded significant improvements to hair density and thickness for 84% of the study participants (individual responses may vary, and optimal results often require multiple sessions).
