BENEFITS OF PRP

Thousands of Joint Injections and PRP Treatments Performed

PRP has been shown in studies to reduce pain and inflammation due to arthritis and overuse. It has also been shown to possibly slow the progression of arthritis and pain by activating the body's own healing cascade. Many studies now show that PRP is superior to steroid injections for orthopedic pain (longer lasting, without the side effects).

AM I A CANDIDATE?

If you have a recent workup (with imaging) our streamlined procedure takes about 20 minutes from start to finish. This means that there is minimal waiting in the office.  If you have not had a proper workup we will need to make sure you have the proper diagnostic tests, and diagnosis BEFORE treatment.  We are a medical clinic and not an assembly line, and we can not treat patients without the proper tests.

NO SURGERY

At The PRP Center, we use Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy to treat joint pain due to arthritis and injuries to the tendons and ligaments. PRP is a non-surgical, natural treatment that uses your body's own platelets to stimulate faster healing. It's a safe and effective way to treat pain without surgery or pills.

NO DOWNTIME

Unlike surgical treatments, PRP therapy requires very little downtime. You can return to your regular activities 1 week after treatment. The process is near pain free, and does not require any medications or sedatives. In our experience, 80-90% of patients experience a reduction in pain with PRP injections for orthopedic issues.

NUMBER OF TREATMENTS

For maximum benefit, research studies support undergoing an initial series of 3 PRP treatments, spaced 2 weeks apart, followed by 2 maintenance treatments per year (every 6 months). However, the number of treatments will vary between patients.
